Traditional pizza ovens often reach temperatures between 750°F and 900°F (400°C to 500°C), and this intense heat is essential for rapid cooking and the desired texture.  For optimal results in a home oven, it's recommended to preheat to the highest setting (around 500°F or 260°C) and consider using a pizza stone or steel to help retain and transfer heat to the pizza.
