@cbsnews: Puerto Rico's governor has signed a bill that prohibits hormone therapy or gender-affirming surgeries for transgender youth, a move that has drawn sharp criticism from activists in the largely conservative United States territory. Puerto Rican Gov. Jennifer Gonzalez approved the law late Wednesday, following a wave of similar legislation passed across the U.S. #puertorico #lgbt
👏👏👏 Protect the kids! They can make those decisions as ADULTS.

These kids are going to struggle and fall into depression. This is making it worse. This is not protecting kids at all

Yikes. Bodily control over others is getting out of hand. Children can also be harmed by not receiving the treatment they need.

Puerto Rico has many other issues to address. Why was this her top priority? What about our public education? What about all the violence going on?

Who are these people? I have never personally met anyone that thinks hormone therapy for kids is a good idea.

healthcare decisions should be made between a person and their physician. the government and insurance companies should have NO SAY in personal healthcare decisions.

I will say as being part of the LGBTQ+ I agree I do not think any hormone therapy or surgeries should be done until the child is at least 18 years old. Everything else for a transition I’m all for it. I have seen so many youths jump on the trend and then regret their decisions later. That’s when it’s the parents responsibility to protect a child till they’re 18.

Thank God, another person coming to their senses. Support your children, ABSOLUTELY, but please stop encouraging the removal of body parts before their frontal lobes have fully developed

I’m a Kamala voter, I hate Trump and MAGA but this is the right take. If you can’t get a tattoo underage you should not be getting gender transition either. You should wait until you are 18 for any procedures or hormones and socially transition only until you are 18

people who say "nobody has ever gotten hormone therapy or gender affirming care before they're 18" are the same people that are mad about the Puerto Rico governor prohibiting this. By that logic, you're getting mad at nothing
