Snyder's SUPERman made me feel small and weak but Gunn's superMAN made me feel equal and relatable to him. that is why I love this movie so much. it's a reminder that with love, empathy and kindness, all of us can be superheroes to others too ❤️

Many say Superman isn't their favorite hero because he's useless because he's not "realistic," that he's only a hero for children who don't understand the world. When in reality it's because no one can identify with him, but that's his strength. Many aspire to be Batman or Spiderman because of their mistakes, but I aspire to Superman for choosing to be human. He could be a God who rules us all, but he chooses to be one of us, to live with us, and to give us what no one else gives us: HOPE. He believes in the world, he believes in goodness, he believes in kindness, he believes in the power to change for the better, he believes in YOU. Clark Kent is his secret identity because the true man behind those glasses is the being who, no matter how many times we fall, will be there with us. "How can a man who could destroy the world want to save us?" That, ladies and gentlemen, is the reason why no one aspires to him and prefers evil versions like Omniman, Homelander, or Superman himself from Injustice, just because they don't see his goodness. Thank you, Superman, for inspiring hope, kindness, and above all, faith in a better tomorrow. Guys...I know you are upset because he's not a human but kryptonian but that was suppoused to be a mataphore. He was raised on earth. He always felt like he doesn't belong. But that version of Superman seems himself as a human because for him begin human is equivelant of begin a person. That's how he was raised. That's what he belifes in. Even if it isn't litearly true.

i have no idea how people can hate on this portrayal of superman when that is literally all superman and clark himself is. the movie was great. bright, kind, funny and emotional too. I felt like a child again with hopes and dreams when I watched and I didn't even like superman as a child

For the people in the comment saying that he isn’t human because he is an alien or whatever, y’all are completely missing the point. Being “human” here isn’t about being a homo sapian; being human here is about being a living being that is sentient, a living being that can love like us, hate like us, feel like us, struggle and persevere like us, someone that faces our everyday struggles and experiences our everyday joy, its about “humanity”. Yes, “humanity” is an incredibly vague concept but humanity and human here both encompasses other living beings other than homo sapiens. (Also I’m not saying living being as a way to dehumanize, I just don’t know what other term to use). Superman is human like us and we are human like him.
