we both lost our dads around the same time and i’ve been really thinking about going to a medium… has it helped your mom at all? My parents were divorced but my mom would keep tabs about my dad’s well being, so they were still close. Sorry, i’m just trauma dumping at this point but I am so glad that you’re finally some sort of comfort and peace, with your dad being gone. It still sucks no matter what, but I really appreciate you being transparent with something like this… it helps us feel normal

I hold this belief that when people die they become the best version of themselves and are whole happy and healed of anything that was keeping them from showing up on earth in maybe ways the wanted to but didn’t know how. I’m glad he is finally able to be a better dad that you deserve. Try to let those moments feel loving and healing to your heart.

as someone’s whose dad died when they were 5 / my mom used to tell me the light flickering was “him”, I eventually had to “grow out” of this notion as an adult. I know the notion is maybe comforting now but constantly being put into a state of distress or bringing up grief with small instances like that can be so hard emotionally. I had to stop all the birthday cakes, death anniversary, etc because it was just too much.
