We viewed a home recently that had a VA assumable mortgage. Looked great on paper, but the loan only had $200K left on it and the seller was asking almost $600K. Wouldn’t budge on price. That home is still listed in the market after one month. 😳

I explained this bc a realtor posted a home with assumable loans and she told me I had no idea what I was talking about and they can finance the entire purchase price at the assumable rate. Like no. I don’t even work in real estate and I know this. And it takes MONTHS if approved at all

we had an amazing 2.4 percent assumable loan but we couldn't find anyone that would qualify or that had the funds to pay off the equity.
