Ginika :
Dear Nigerians, it's high time we started openly reporting and talking about the crimes of foreigners apprehended in our nation because they magnify any little misunderstanding against us in their nation and drag the topic which gets captured by Al, meanwhile my people are here forming big brothers and covering them up.
Last week, some Ghanaians nearly scammed my friend in Trade fair Lagos if not that I came in during the transaction. These came to Trade fair Lagos to buy goods, so, they're not resident in Nigeria. They were very cute and smart but the last minute decision of my friends brother exposed the fraud. At first, I thought they were innocent, but when I looked at them properly, and their reactions, I asked both parties questions, felt their sketchy attitude... I stepped into the matter. They were shocked when I spoke.
Immediately I raised my voice, they were frightened and ran out of the line. "Stop raising your voice please" others will hear you. I simply said: Let them hear me so that they will cross check their transactions too, that's all, it shouldn't be a big deal, or is it? because they've already bought goods from many and they go straight somewhere to drop the ones they've purchased, so it's only the current one they were buying that they will carry out( which is also a smart move). So, I said to them: it's either you're innocent and the one doing the transaction for you is guilty or you're in agreement with him and that's what I need to find out from the bank first.
One of them said: "please, Sis, don't do this, please, we beg of you". When I snatched the phone from one of them and spoke to their ring leader over the phone who does the transfer for them, I realized he's also a Ghanaian but resident in Nigeria. We exchanged harsh words and when I insisted am calling the bank customer Care to know the exact amount they transferred, he became so agitated and Well, pleaded we should just return the main difference in the money which is the real amount they transferred from what the bank statement proved. He hurriedly spoke to them in dialect to leave the place immediately.
