K but migraine doesn’t explain why you forgot what a pear is. I get massive migraine attacks to the point of projectile vomiting and I would still know what a pear is lol

symptoms such as not being able to think of the words "muscle weakness"? I know migraines can be debilitating, but the loss of words is concerning, especially if you do not have a history of migraines. I'd be seeing a neurologist to look more into the source of the migraine to be safe.

The doctor saying “stroke pain shows up on both sides” or “because it was on both sides it’s not a stroke” is not accurate:
• Pain or headache location is not a reliable stroke indicator.
• Strokes often cause symptoms on one side of the body (e.g. weakness, vision loss, or confusion).
• But language problems (aphasia) come from a left-sided stroke in most people, and they can occur without weakness.
So if someone couldn’t recognize a common word like “pear” and had no imaging, that’s a missed opportunity to rule out stroke, TIA, seizure, tumor, or encephalitis. Regardless of the doctor you need a ct or an mri now

If I were you I would go to the ER anyway! Urgent Care is useless. I went to Urgent Care for an issue with my throat ( felt like something was stuck in my throat for a few days) recently and the PA said I had a virus. I did actually call my insurance nurses line and the nurse told me to go straight to the ER. The ER tested for 20 different viruses and I was negative for all the virus. You need to get an MRI or something because you could have had a TIA mini stroke. I am very surprised that the Urgent Care that you went to still allowed you to be seen by them after they heard that your mother said that you could have had a stoke and sent you straight to the ER.

It already did persist and start again. You should’ve went to the ER. You do not lose words and understanding of words you’ve known a whole life overl a migraine that’s a major replied to me. I would go to the er . The urgent care doctor is whacked that they didn’t even send you that’s protocol to be safe.

Your pupils are pretty dilated. That and migraines could be some form of dysautonomia.

I have a problem finding my words during a migraine too. The nausea, dizziness, blurry vision all points to migraine. Go to your GP and try to get a prescription for Imitrex and the next time one comes on take a pill and it probably will prevent it from blowing up to where you are Debilitated

My phone screen triggers my visual aura migraines, I had to put a pink tint on my screens to be able to watch anything! Bright LED lights trigger them too. I’ve gone completely blind for about 5 mins before. The zig zag rainbow happens before that.. I don’t get pain with mine, just gets a cloud with rainbow zig zag across both eyes than blindness for 5 mins and it freaks me out every time! Hope u get to feeling better soon! Go see a neurologist if u can!

Migraines can make you lose speech and give you fuzzy thinking. I get these and it’s terrifying. You may get a very relieving shot if you take yourself to the ER

AGE DOES NOT MATTER!!!!! It’s a misconception. Anyone at any health, any age, any race, any gender can endure a stroke. I had a stroke at 6 years old. I was healthier than most people in my family
