Hii I love ur content so much! What would you recommend for a singer who can’t get voice lessons (money & not too many options near me) but really wants to get into musical theatre or just learn that type of singing? anyone’s suggestions are so helpful I have the passion but I wanna sing healthily but idk if I wait until I’m older and able to drive and pay for it myself or what haha

I’ve been doing this since I’ve been involved in theatre- i didn’t realize it had a name, this whole time I was calling it my “personal deck sheet” because I first learned from SM’s and crew! 😂 This is so cool i love it!

I grew up in a small community theatre and my director would have us all make tracks and she would let us post them backstage if we wanted or we could just keep in it our scripts!! It was so helpful to not forget props, costume changes and cues!!!

I do all of this in an obscenely comprehensive spreadsheet, and then the day we open i sit down and write it all out by hand in its simplest form to hammer it into my head! both sit on my station but the short one is usually the only one I look at once a show is actually running!

I do mine notes on a spiral-bound 3x5 card set. One card for each scene. Small enough to hide in most costumes.

Yes! I always do this too but especially with this show! I am playing Dawn at Short North Stage rn and the prop tracking is WILD! A tracking sheet was necessary! Break all the legs! 🥧
