I will typically wait until late October before step foot In the woods also after weather fronts in Early season you don't want to educate a mature buck hunting too much ! it doesn't matter about mornings or evenings unless you have one patterned ! go when ya can! I sit longer during the rut and have had midday success ! jmo !

I like to hunt the timber in the mornings and the field edges in the evenings. I personally have taken a few more quality bucks in the evening however I tend to hunt a few more evenings than I do mornings.
