He’s just not as good as he thinks he is, I don’t get the hype. Albon is driving in the same car and doing better even allowing for the fact that Carlos had to have time to get used to his car. He was lucky he was put good cars before which upped his performance But his baseline is average and it’s showing now.

Gabi is such a talented driver. Way too often it’s overlooked that this sport is significantly dependent on having an amazing team to build a good car, plus a solid driver lineup to unlock that full potential. Without a proper car, a talented driver won’t be able to extract the maximum performance out of it. We can look at Sainz at Ferrari compared to Williams as another example.

It would have been Sainz and Hülkenberg and the way it's going Hülkenberg would probably perform better in Audi. And it's better to be beaten by Albon for Sainz future than it is by Hülkenberg I think

This is just a transition year boys, whatever happens doesn’t really matter, next year Williams is gonna be rocking that new Mercedes powertrain, while Audi will have their own, who’s gonna regret their decisions then? 😅
