There’s this huge divide between the rich and the poor, between natives and immigrants, between different races and religions. Division is not a flaw of the system. It is the system. We have displacement and conflicts in Palestine, Congo, Haiti, Tigray, Uyghur, Sudan, Myanmar, Ukraine and so many more. Instead of calling for change we ignore it all saying it’s not our problem or argue about which conflict worse or who deserves peace and who doesn’t? Then we have countries protesting against Muslims, against immigrants and people of colour, against the very people who make Western countries thrive by working as doctors and engineers, by bringing in diverse cultures, foods and businesses. While we’re all busy fighting each other, the elites controlling the narrative, selling the weapons used to fund the conflicts and the news reports that tell us that an entire race or religion is to blame for a single event. It’s not an accidental division. It’s been well crafted to keep capitalism alive. Society needs to see each other as equal victims of elitist greed and corruption rather than as enemies who’re only out to hate on each other. (This video is criticising society as a whole, not individual countries and their suffering. I wish for the freedom of all the oppressed no matter who or where they come from.) #capitalism #palestine #colonialism #immigration #congo
