Good way to put it. Being able to boil down your concept is also important to be able to know what your script is about. Also, coming up with how you might pitch to different entities is valuable as well. Knowing a production companies like certain things you can lean into those elements.

I was going to talk about how explaining the plot of Pokémon Detective Pikachu to pensioners was a nightmare but that brings up another point. - While you might be working with small IP only certain people know you need it to be universally understandable by all.
