You know what's crazy? apparently they screwed Rise over in europe and I firmly believed it, i'm from germany and another fan in german told me that they aired Rise at 3 am...how on earth do they expect people to watch this new series?? I bought the first season on YouTube and NOWHERE was the second season translated (idk if they translated it now but they wanted Rise dead fr)

As much as I wish I got into Turtles earlier in my life, I’m glad I wasn’t around for this era of 2012 vs Rise (it’s already bad enough now, I can’t imagine what it was like while it was happening)

I think this and how different rise was unfortunately set it up for failure which sucks because rise is a decent entry in the franchise

For me, not only I didn’t like rise for replacing the 2012 series but when kids choice awards came in 2018 (like March-May, forgot the month), they aired the first episode to show fans and I didn’t really like it (mostly from bitterness) so I didn’t watch it fully till like 2021-2022, and even then I still didn’t really enjoy it cause I got used to 2003 and 2012 versions so it wasn’t my cup of tea even though the movie was a bit better. But definitely could’ve help for a gap since every version in shows and movies have a gap for something new since many new turtle projects (shows and movies) do like a year or two gap. (Sorry for this long rant lol)

There is some negative and positive for rise despite preferring it over the other tmnt franchises, form what we can seem from statistics wise when looking at edits rise is the most featured, and most active based on Ao3 TT and YouTube with tmnt 2012 following, I like that Rise has diversity for every character different bodies, skin, different mutant types, and the move wasn’t as bad as you think and has a plot and has the character depth, and if they reboot for season 3 it would work since rise was based on silly adventures so wacky adventures would work then the ending arcs for the season, but i do not think Rise would get other season after four, I mean yes I can see we can get maybe a movie for the fourth season and it would be about Mikey preferably since out of everyone in the roaster we have to face it Mikey is an underrated character when thinking about, but if they AMKE to move for another season and over the process again do you reallly think people are gonna like it? No it’s gonna repetitive very fast and no one prefers that.

For me I didn’t really like rise of the tmnt because to be me it felt like Nickelodeon’s attempt at a teen titans go style for the turtles and for me it didn’t work and they didn’t explain why they had a lot of mutated people running around New York City

Next Mutation had the same problem. It came out mere months after the original cartoon ended, and didn't get much recognition; though it did give us the first ever girl Ninja Turtle (which some people just weren't quite ready for back in the 90s)

As someone who became a tmnt fan in 2017 bc of 2012… yeah I was angry when rise came out. I love it so much now, I’m so sad I judged it to harshly when it came out

Ngl- I hated Rise too and didnt watch it till the movie came out. I wasn't happy 2012 ended and having something new not long after kinda made me mad. I love Rise now, but I agree they should have waited at least ONE year before Rise came out. And now I'm sad Rise was canceled lol.

I hardly knew it existed and once I did I was like um okay I doubt it but when I watched a couple of episodes yeah no dispite me growing up with 2012 rise is just better to me

8 months? I only got a month after officially airing the last episode in my country to only find it out in march at kids choice awards that they have a new series on the way

like if Nick gave 2012 a Solid ending on what people are happy with and Rise came out a Year later people would've been chilled in my opnion but part of me how they did it felt intentional

At the time Rise came out I wasn't aware how TMNT worked. I didn't know that the show is constantly getting rebooted. I grew up with 2012 and hated the Rise universe for "getting things wrong"

I personally theorize that the reason 2012's ending was so... meh was because Nick starting pouring money into rise in 2016 (according to the tmnt pedia) and put pressure on the 2012 writers to "hurry up and end it"
