the biggest reason most people over water their houseplants is because they have a pot that doesn't drain and the top few inches is bone dry while the bottom is standing water, then the plant looks sick so people water it more making it worse

Would be a great idea if plants didn't all have different water needs and if all plants were in the correct size and type of pot for the size and type of plant.

I'm growing tomatoes in containers and the ones I have outside have crunchy leaves, even though one has ripening tomatoes on it. I thought they were underwatered because they're out in the sun, but someone told me the crunch can be a sign of overwatering, too!?! Are they beyond saving? HELP 😭

I work in a big box store & I get lots of new plant my people. I tell them this! I also tell them to stay on the side of underwater than overwatering.
