I’m really fortunate and my godfather started one when I was really young and like gradually added money to it and it’s in some I can’t remember the term for right now, but it has a bunch of companies and it makes it own money and my fiancé who is in business told me not to touch it so that is what I do But it is making money slow slowly but surely. I’d like to start adding more money to it when I start saving a little bit more.

I’m 23 and have a finance guy bc my dad and grandpa set up a “college fund” for me at 1 year old… it didn’t go the way they hoped so I have a little egg that’s just chillin. He’s great and explains things very well since I don’t know anything but doesn’t talk down to me.

In Canada, I have a financial advisor through a bank, but also several people I know use him. Our banks have stringent rules, guidelines and protections for the customer/clients

Step 1, open an account (Roth Ira) at fidelity, vanguard or c Schwab. Step 2 buy index funds. Vtsax is the total stock market but there are similar index funds at the others. Put in up to 7k a year and it grows tax free. You are smart and capable you can do it yourself. Or if you want a pro to teach you, take a @Dumpster Doggy 🌀 Investing class.
