Growing up in the military PBS was a welcome change from syndicated programing. I had a learning disability and found my live for books the through shows like Reading Rainbow and sesame street. Then I fell in love with mystery novels because of Masterpiece Mystery. My love of Doctor Who was entirely due to our local station's midnight airing of the show. PBS forged my life long curiosity. we need to save this American institution.
