Who is she?! 😳 This interaction is going down in the record books lol. I met Valentina (@valnetinalaverde2) while getting off the skytrain at The Amazing Brentwood. It was a Saturday night, and she was dressed to impress, so I asked if I could take her portrait. I asked if she’s ever modelled before - she answered “No, but I like photos.” Now usually when I photograph people I spend the first few minutes teaching them how to pose and pull off natural facial expressions. But as soon as I snapped the first photo, she turned into a certified model. Seriously - just watch how effortlessly she poses in the video lol. I was blown away! She pulled out TONS of amazing poses & facial expressions without me having to guide her. I was so enamoured by her natural ability to model, I totally forgot to ask my usual questions 😂 I know she’s a Social Communicator, and that she’s in Canada to further her English - but that’s about as far as I got. 😅 (Sorry Valentina!) But for real - if this is how well you do on your very first photoshoot with ZERO preparation, then you should strongly consider a career in modelling. — ⚙️ Technical Notes I’m using a completely different lens than I usually use for this shoot. The lens is a Samyang 45mm 1.8 - a budget lens that weighs almost nothing. I typically use G Master lenses (which are some of the best lenses you can get for Sony), but I wanted to find something small, light and cheap to use as a walk around lens for my trip to Japan. It was my FIRST TIME trying this lens, and this focal length (45mm is very interesting). Overall, I’m extremely happy with it so far - especially for the price.
