I thought it was already established Daniel especially “Lil Daniel” is a slow burned character, him fighting Yujae makes sense to show us his growth, to show us how he takes a fight with such a top tier, Lil Daniel showed us that growth, he showed us that he can analyze Yujae strength and break down his style and once he realized it, lil Daniel didnt try to win but escape because he knows, one day, when he returns, he will return a new perfected version of himself, lil Daniel now realized how he can unlock his path, Thats what the whole fight was about.
