Natasha who? Amberglow by Alter Ego… Full Review ⬇️ I have been wearing this palette EVERY day to work. I can’t put it down! The color story is truly genius. I think golds are the most flattering tones for cool-skinned girlies like me. Gold makes you look alive and healthy without clashing like other orange-toned neutrals. Yes, this is an exact shade-by-shade dupe of the Natasha Denona Golden palette. But in many ways I prefer Alter Ego to Natasha. The mattes are silky and blend like a dream- but they aren’t as pigmented as Natasha’s. This is much better for beginners who don’t want to spend forever blending or accidentally look like they got punched in the eye. I am a huge fan of this matte formula. The shimmers look incredible and there are a variety of formulas: some are high-impact and sparkly, some are sheer toppers, and some are your standard smooth metallic (my favorite for every day.) I have critiqued Alter Ego in the past for having shimmers that are hard to pick up, but NOT with this palette. These are the best shimmers by Alter Ego I have tried- but I learned recently that all the shimmers pick up much better and don’t get hard pan if you use a brush instead of your fingers. That is user error on my part. I also prefer the packaging to Natasha’s - her plastic feels cheap to me. This cardboard packaging and beautiful art feels more elevated, and the pans are still magnetic! My only real critique of this palette is that the two lightest mattes are a cream-to-powder formula. This is Natasha’s fault and the golden palette has this as well. Personal preference, but I just won’t use a cream. I prefer a standard matte.
