@cbsnews: As House Republicans prepare to vote on a package to rescind $9 billion in foreign aid and public broadcasting funding, NPR President and CEO Katherine Maher told CBS News' Nikole Killion that "we lose something fundamental as a nation if public media goes away." In June, the White House asked Congress to cancel $9.4 billion in appropriations that had previously been approved. The House is facing a Friday end-of-day deadline to pass the bill, which is known as a rescissions request, after which the money must be spent as originally intended. #news #media #npr
NPR is hardly "public" media. It's liberal media, can we please be honest about this.

Interviewed Adam Schiff 25 times about Russian collusion. Never covered the Hunter Biden laptop story honestly, only airing puff pieces about how it was misinformation.

When I was a young Liberal minded person I loved NPR for its Left leaning perspective. As I matured and learned more about life, the world, and politics I realized it should have had its funding pulled decades ago.

Possibly at stake is the nearly $500,000 salary for this left propaganda tool. Commercial public media has lost its credibility

I will never watch another CBS show in all my life because of the cancellation of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert. I hope everything CBS does fails.

If you watch the Senate debate with her, she is full of the most bullshit I've ever seen. More than any politician. It is amazing how full of it she is she contradicts herself, lies straight out and takes accountability for zero.

I'd agree 30 years ago but no one is watching public tv. today. Even my grandpa got streaming stuff. Working parents used Sesame street and shows like it for education and occupying their kids, me included. That doesn't happen nowadays, or at least we don't need the public media to access that. They just arguing for staying around, but offer no reasons why they should, other than sentiment.
