Not enough people talk about how Katara didn’t run back home to find that her mom had just disappeared… she ran to get help and came back to her mother’s most likely burned corpse on the ground. Her anger was 100% justified and I commend her strength cause that man would’ve been GONE if it was me

And the way people complain that she talked about her mom too much pisses me off! Like yeah, it seems like it, when you binge watch the series, but in actuality it is a fucking normal ass amount, and even, perhaps, less than that for an event that literally traumatized her so deeply and changed her entire way of life so thoroughly and full grown adults should not be ragging on this fictional 14 year old for daring to talk about her war trauma in this show about THE WAR
