I’ve cruised solo many many times. YES you pay double they get away with it saying it’s the cost of the cabin. That’s BS. I’ve also tried the solo cabins and they are very very small and limited. I’ve actually seen where the solo cabin is equal to an inside cabin. Sometimes you can find a cruise with a reduced solo rate on places like Vacations to Go. The least they could do is reduced the single supplement to 25-30%.

Mine was more than double. When you look at same cabin for 2, for 1 its about $400 mire

You don’t ‘pay double’. You’re paying total cost for the room. If you have another person, then you split the cost.

I travelled with my family on britannia but had a room on my own so had to pay double. to be fair I did see on the ships daily itinerary they did have some meet ups for solo passengers.
