I think I read that the EU is requiring knobs and buttons for cars to get top safety ratings. Fingers crossed it catches on.

no touch laws for phones and yet im flying 80 down the highway tapping at squircles to turn up the vent fans while the attention camera is screaming at me to watch the road because the lane assist is turned on every time the car starts and it only works if you’re watching the road but i need to look at the screen TO TURN OFF THE LANE ASSIST

It feels like the refrigerators with touch screens. I don’t want that. I just want space and a fridge that doesn’t freeze my lettuce. I don’t want it to talk to me. I don’t need a camera to see how messy my fridge is from my phone… no thank you.

no fr I have a 2010 corolla and if take that over my mum's fancy ev that has everything on that damn massive iPad thing any day. I don't even have to look to adjust my AC/heating or radio because it's all buttons, knobs and dials. plus it's built to last!

I have to take my eyes off the road to use my touchscreen. And don’t even start me on when the alerts pop up in the dash for 5 seconds when I don’t have my reading glasses.

also everyone PLZ keep practicing or learn how to drive your home city/town/area using signage and memory not just turn by turn map apps 🥀 You don't want to be that completely helpless without a tech company not to mention it's VASTLY safer to be looking up at signs not down at a screen to figure out where you're going on the regular.
