This happened all the time when I worked at a convenience store. A whole group would come in and only one person would have their ID and they were obviously the only one old enough to even be attempting to purchase it

Right! Story, as a customer once I got cut off from fireball once for buying a shot for a stranger I was talking to in a 21 and up situation, the bartender handed us the shots. But the manager saw me give the shot to the 19 year old that I was unaware! I had to drink beer the rest of the night 😳

I grew up in New Orleans. I just told them my older sister's birthday and they were good with that. drinking age was 18.
