You deserve the creamiest matcha latte today! 🍵 Non-scale ratios below as well!! Tools used: Chawan: Etsy shop - HousePlantCeramics Chasen & sifter: @matchakari Spoon: @Rocky’s Matcha Matcha powder: @matchaeologist Kettle: @Fellow Glass: Kinto Beer Glass (430ml) Matcha Ratio: ✦ Heat up water to 176°F/80°C. If you don’t have a temp controlled kettle, let the water boil/smoke & then let it cool with the lid open for 10-15min. ✦ Pour some warm water into a cup & soak your chasen to soften the bristles. ✦ Scoop 5g (if you don’t have a scale, scoop 2.5 teaspoons) of matcha powder onto your sifter to get rid of clumps for a smoother finish. ✦ Add 14g (1 tablespoon) of room temp water to make a paste. The paste should be medium to stiff peaks. ✦ Add 46g (1/4 cup) of 176°F/80°C water, whisk vigorously (but not too rough) to form large bubbles. Don’t let your chasen touch the bottom of the bowl when whisking to prevent damage to the bristles. ✦ After large bubbles are formed, bring your chasen near the surface & whisk with a slower motion to break all air bubbles (take your time with this step, as this creates the microfoam/creaminess) ✦ Fill your glass with ice. Personally, I fill my cup to the top with ice (more ice, less milk, stronger matcha flavor!) ✦ Pour 110g (1/2 cup) of your milk of choice (I love to use oat milk). ✦ Optional: top off your drink with ~ 5-7g (1 teaspoon) of your sweetener of choice! I love to use maple syrup or agave! ✦ Mix & enjoy your creamy concoction of matcha!!! ⋆˚⟡. #matcha #goldenratio #Recipe #matchalatte #matchalover #matchatok #asmr #aesthetic #fyp #matcharecipe
