Very well said, especially for women who don’t have the autonomy to date when they’re younger. Everything is focussed around academia, perfectionism, and success, and rarely about relationship building , conflict resolution, boundaries or actual self-esteem. It’s often externalized around accomplishments and rarely around happiness or self actualization. People often perceive, academic, and career success with logical reasoning and good choices when in actuality, those things are not mutually exclusive.
