Mass shootings in schools are extremely rare. Mass shootings outside of schools are rare. And yes, teachers can be trained to carry a gun for self defense. It's not that hard.

I’m a public educator and if I have to carry I’m out. 😑 We already deal with enough behaviors and too many things, I can’t worry if a kid is going to get the pew pew.

The political science definition of left vs right is that people on the right favor more social hierarchy. So they think it's ok if only rich families can afford to send their kids to expensive schools that have good safety measures in place, while everyone else is screwed. It helps to understand that they start with very different basic assumptions.
