Truancy tickets are a joke. Our district had threatened them on two of our kids, and actually had one of the ticketed… we very easily got it dropped in court. What a mess.

Our district offers a program through the community counseling center before they take legal action and I’m thankful for that. I still don’t agree with the whole system but I feel like it cuts down on court cases 😞😞😞

But, don't send your child to school if they have any 1 of numerous symptoms of illness... 🙄 Many either have to send them sick or take them to the doctor for someone unnecessary. This is extremely frustrating.

I agree the currency ticket system is terrible. However, we need to fix the state expectations for schools. They expect a very high attendance rate and that’s what drives these flow charts and truancy tickets. The funding and the school report cards are better when we have more butts in seats
