Dog groomer here. These nails aren’t talons. On a side note you can dremel the top and sides to get even closer to the quick and to smooth them if your dog will tolerate one!

you can definitely file the tips a bit but they look pretty good. rule of thumb is you don’t want to hear them clicking on the floor. the shouldn’t touch the floor period

some dogs just have naturally longer nails. foot type/shape is going to affect how nails sit as well. my female dog's nails are trimmed/dremelled to the quick 1-2 times WEEKLY for the last 7 years. Her nails still tap the floor. Meanwhile my male is aggressive for most handling, gets his nails done once every other month or so, and his nails DON'T touch the floor.
