Out of curiosity, are her troubles wjth sleeping due to her medical conditions? Or just specific to her personally. I’m 32 and have major sleep issues, all secondary effects from my primary diseases. It has taken a while to work out how to manage things, but I used to go days without sleep, or I’d crash out and sleepy for literally 24 hours. So unpredictable and hard to balance life when you can’t factor in the basic notion of awake during the day and asleep at night. Good on you mama for listening to her body and doing what you need to, to support her!!!

I have a typical 8yr old who will sleep in her play tent on a pile of pillows and blankets for weeks, and then she’s in her loft bed, and sometimes she builds a nest in our room on the floor. She sleeps all night and is always safe.

my now teenager used to sleep on the couch every night because he was anxious in his bed. then he figured it out and had slept in his bed ever since. you do what you gotta do.

You posting the trampoline bed literally saved us. Adley sleeps in hers to this day. We would never sleep sound at night without it. I think it’s amazing how you think outside the box for Haidyn! And I appreciate you sharing what works ❤️

as long as shes safe(which ik she is) i dont see why it matters, as a kid i slept behind/under my low loft bed often, or on the floor in the middle of a pile of stuffed animals, my parents jus let me sleep. if i wasnt comfy id wake up🤷🏼♀️

My son has had a genetic condition and sleep is difficult at best. If you don’t live it you just don’t understand it. We’re awaiting approval on a sleep safe bed but are currently going to a trampoline. Sending so much love ❤️

I hear you loud and clear! It’s hard for someone to truly understand unless they can relate, and I mean RELATE. My kiddo doesn’t have sanfilipo syndrome but his challenges are not for the weak, I pick and choose my battles & his sleep is priority over everything in our home due to how poor his quality of sleep really is.

I remember the trampoline and I thought that was genius. My son is really autistic and I know that’s nothing to compare what your daughter has but you have shown me a lot of special. Need mom hacks over the years and I just want you to say that I appreciate you and your daughter so much.
