@iamlegendari: We inherited habits from trauma, but we’ve been given a new nature in Christ. Conflict doesn’t have to trigger you. Let it train you. In this lesson, I’m breaking down how to identify your default trauma response (fight, flight, freeze, or fawn) and how to replace it with wisdom that honors God and protects your peace. 💭 Which response have you defaulted to in the past?
I remember the therapist I had when Drew & I first broke up, told me I had the symptoms of someone who’s lived in flight/fight mode their entire life. I didn’t know what that was so I went home & researched it. I cried for two days. I’m growing, healing & I’m still unlearning every toxic & dark thing of my dead man. Glory be to God in the highest, my Savior, my rescuer.

I still don’t understand. I know I love him. But I enjoy some of the sinful things I do. In some ways they relax me. And I’m afraid that means I’ve squandered his sacrifice and that I’m doomed. “He who keeps my commandments is who truly loves me” but I don’t keep them. I’m angry and lustful and vengeful. If I am doomed I understand. But I hope I’m not
