@cassandrawelfordauthor: Losing the ability to have conversations with someone who has Alzheimers is another level of living grief. It can start very subtly until one day you realise you can't have a conversation on the phone and real life conversations involve more body language than words. I used to sing and dance with my mum when words became a thing of the past, but I found it hard to lose our communication that I once took for granted. #onthisday #Alzheimers #alzheimersawareness #alzheimerscaregiver
Such a cruel disease! 🥺 We wish you all the strength! And thank you for sharing your story… 3 in 4 people know someone with dementia and still we don’t talk about it enough… 😔 That’s why we made a musical about dementia. To give support to all caretakers with a heartwarming story. So we can be there for eachother and share stories. 🩵🔥

It’s one of the worst illnesses. My heart is broken, I miss my mum and she’s still here. I’m so sad for her. 💔💔💔

The pain is unbearable . I have seeing my mum going through this for 5 years she doesn’t recognise me. I keep on calling her mum mum and she doesn’t even respond so I don’t know how long it would go for
