(I suggest flying with a friend or a loved one and letting them know that you’re not going to engage in this behavior that’s what I did🧡) Started with 2 I have been doing for the past 12 years. I’ve always been an anxious flyer and engaged in anxiety filled ritualistic behaviors. (These often share features with OCD like compulsiveness, anxiety relief, or a need for control but not an OCD diagnosis ). When I work with clients, we often talk about slight exposure. Slight or gradual exposure helps with OCD/anxiety driven compulsions because it reteaches your brain that the feared outcome you’re trying to avoid with compulsions doesn’t actually happen or if it does, it’s manageable. #flightanxiety #ocd #flightanxietytips #anxiety
But mine is I have to look out the window and watch take off. Once the lady next to me asked if the window could stay closed because it was too bright for her and I was going crazy not being able to see. 😅
