I feel like we dont talk enough about *WHY* the drug cartels have so mich money or want to bring in so many drugs. we need to acknowledge that we're as a country responsible for supplying that demand

immigration and crime are mixed because colonization was a crime. and the people who are making the mix of immigration and crime are The descendants of colonization. they are confusing their history with today.

The drug cartels are the results of our own governments failure to support the people. And General Kris Mayes has the audacity to say that immigrants are somehow responsible for our country’s ability to go after the cartels? What about our ability to regulate the guns that are literally being supplied by the US to the cartels? This isn’t about securing our borders, this is racism and deferring responsibility. Hasan Minhaj should know better than to just passively agree

With a $28 billion budget ICE agents have no way to verify your citizenship. People are loaded up in van based on discretion. Carrying certain credentials means nothing.

immigration is a debate as old as time. capitalism love cheap labor and politicians love a scapegoat. meanwhile immigrants are a driving force of labour, ingenuity and the very fabric that holds society together ❤️

Would it be fair to say that we do need border control or safety, without leave out or excluding rights that people have just for being humans in the US. Both can be true, yes? It's not one over the other, which is why we need things like due process, so as to not violate those rights, this includes citizens and undocumented people.

Two things... She doesn't care and it's a demand problem... Not a supply problem.. Get rid of demand through education and health therapy.. You get rid of the need for supply

“Coming in as a dreamer”… no one comes in as a dreamer lol but it’s a good example that’s the inverse of his point. When you frame it as 100% well intentioned, harmless, only positive, it’s just as dishonest and wrong.

Most of the fentanyl comes in with people who are allowed in. I think it's more important to deal with the demand for drugs rather than the supply. it's not like cartels are forcing people to do drugs. Americans love and want drugs. it's an unbeatable market force as long as we keep focusing on supply and not deal with the demand.
