5 Lessons My Italian Grandmother Taught Me ❤️🇮🇹 👵🏻 (And no, you don’t need a PhD to understand them just a little common sense and a good marinara.) 1.	“Se sono rose, fioriranno.” 🌹 “If they’re roses, they’ll bloom.” If it’s meant for you, it’ll happen. No chasing. No begging. A rose don’t check who’s watching before it blooms—it just does its job. Same goes for you. Stop overthinking and let things unfold. What’s real doesn’t need pushing. 2.	“Fai bene e scordati, fai male e pensaci.” 🤌🏻 “Do good and forget it, do bad and think about it.” You helped somebody? Great. Now shut up about it. Goodness isn’t a performance. But if you screwed up? Don’t brush it off sit with it. Reflect. Apologize. Grow. Capisce? 3.	“Hai voluto la bicicletta? Ora pedali!” 🚲 “You wanted the bicycle? Now pedal!” You asked for it. now do the work! You wanted the business, the relationship, the life? Then stop whining and pedal. This ain’t a gondola ride, sweetheart! it’s uphill. 4.	“A lavare la testa all’asino, si perde tempo e sapone.” 🫏 “Washing a donkey’s head wastes time and soap.” Translation? You can’t fix stupid. Stop breaking your back trying to explain yourself to some chooch who is committed to not getting it. They’re not confused. They’re just not capable. Wish ’em well and keep it moving. 5.	“Male non fare, paura non avere.” ❤️🙏🏻 “If you don’t do bad, you won’t be afraid.” Live clean. Do right. That way, when your head hits the pillow, you sleep like a baby with no skeletons doing the cha-cha in your closet. Fear comes from guilt. When you lead with love, you’ve got nothing to hide. Nonna never wrote a book, but trust me, she had the whole thing figured out over a pot of Sunday sauce.
