@tressuni: We sent our sweet grandpa to heaven last week and although it’s been emotional for us, we know the earth and all its creatures were lucky to have him around for 92 years.  Born from a generation of Korean men that were taught to be stern and tough, he was soft and warm. My grandma says he was a kind and sweet husband for their 64 years of marriage. And my dad and aunts say, even though it was extremely rare to see a man in the kitchen during those days, he was the kind of father that would cook snacks for them frequently. He survived war and poverty and was a proud immigrant. He always took all of us grandkids to go eat his favorites like Wingstop, Costco pizza, and Chipotle. Even when he was tired from old age, he’d stay up late and play endless games of poker with all his kids and grandkids. He never failed to crack us up.  Given I have this platform, I wanted more people to know about how great of a person he was. Thank you for taking the time to read this and allowing his memory to live amongst us all. #grief #grandpa
