Former kinko’s worker - you are bending the paper up at the bottom, keep it super flat. Try to keep the momentum and slide the paper up the machine instead of stop/start. Your coil should be a bit bigger for that size book, it will catch more if it’s too small. 💕 Also, it will cut as you crimp, doesn’t need to be 2 steps

Maybe the machine needs to be lower so your positioning of the book is better. I would say stand but you must be making so many books!

if you use the crimper, and turn that clipped piece a bit, right after you crimp the coil, you won't need pliers as well

It looks like you have to hold it completely flush/plum, it looks like you’re bending the left side of it up by like a little bit and it looks like it might be catching as it’s going through because the papers bent in a little bit.
