@aimees_world: In my personal opinion, it’s completely wrong, but I’d love to hear what you all have to say #dogsoftiktok #hotcars #safety #petsafety #animalcruelitystops #fyp #comment
nope. not above 70°.

If it’s under 72 and fully cloudy with a breeze, for a quick run into the gas station, sure that’s fine. 75+ is a NO unless the vehicle is left running with the AC on.

the dog should be left at home. if you call the law the person will get in trouble. the temp inside the vehicle is usually about 15 degrees hotter than outside and the windows cracked is not enough.

not me being the one to say I almost thought there was a masked man with u in this video🤣🤣🤣.
re: yr post... I don't think any living breathing animal or human in a car during the summer is totally wrong.. what if something happens to us in the just "run in" scenario. a 3-6 min run in can turn into anything at the drop of a hat.
no.. I wouldn't. no.

I don’t usually do that unless it’s like very fast trip in and out of a store no more than 15 minutes I stopped doing that because it getting worse heat wise.and just overall I have a general fear with that because you can’t take pets into all stores unless it’s pet friendly.

legally it depends on your laws in you town or city...in California in the desert is 70°...I hardly is 70° in the desert...and the temp rises so quickly...so if you see the animal in distress then call...if you need to do something...go in the store and make an announcement

If the vehicle is running with the a/c on sure no problem but 80 outside turns into 95-100+ VERY quickly inside a vehicle!! I have called the sheriffs over this and they came immediately

OK, I work in veterinary medicine. A dog‘s normal body temperature is 100.5 to 102.5. So you never want to leave your dog in a car even with the windows cracked. They will die within minutes. And it’s a felony.

Nope, car on with the AC or leave your dog home!! I’ve had a fam stop at the vet I work at during their roadtrip because their car didn’t have AC and even with the windows down, their dog had a heat stroke and passed..

I dont leave my girls in the car at all unless they are parked right in the window where I can see them and air is on and im paying for gas and grabbing a drink. I also stop and get my dogs a big gulp cup of fountain water and sit it in the cup holder open so they can help themselves w a drink. No its not okay. In out pay and come on.

If they are running in a store grabbing a drink or something quick then it’s fine. If they are going shopping for multiple things then no. Unless they are able to leave the car running with ac going.

Does the dog look distressed? Amount of time would be a relevant factor, 10-15 mins compared to like an hour would make a difference.

I don’t feel it’s right. I have done this but 2-3 minutes that’s about it. With the AC running

I would only do it with the AC on my car running and a 5 minute into the gas station. Really the only option for most dogs is to have a Tesla.!
