Please do not use propane barbecues indoors. Replacing wood with propane is cleaner but it's not safe in an enclosed space.

Electric heat is 100% effecient. Electric heat pumps are more than 100% efficient. Fossil fuels can't compete with that. Electric and induction stoves heat faster with less heat escape.

Wrong, electricity is the solution. The cheapest up front is fossil fuels but that doesn't mean they're good. And still, things like furnaces and stoves are very inefficient when it comes to energy. An induction stove top is far more efficient and safer than any gas appliance. Heatpumps also put furnaces to shame.

Fossil fuels are useful and great but every single % of energy we can replace with renewables is objectively better. There is no defensible reason to generate a kWh with fossil fuels if you could have used wind instead.

This is such a minor part of the larger issue. when people say fossil fuels are bad they are talking globally and we aren’t going to be heating the world with dung and wood. We can get developing countries safer fuels while also working to move developed countries to clean energy. Fossil fuels may be better than dung but there are like 5 more things better than fossil fuels

Solar and wind power are regional and there’s no storage mechanism that works at scale. Anyone that thinks “we have alternatives” doesn’t understand energy. Actually replacing fossil fuels would be the most difficult scientific project in history. It would make the Manhattan Projecf look like amateur hour….we absolutely should try to do it, but we are too busy selling lies on one side and making money on the other to level with people about how hard true alternatives would be to create.
