since learning I was on the spectrum, I think all heroes are inherently neurodivergent. Who else can see the systems in place that hurt people and stand up against them? people with justice sensitivity.

I get the idea that someone would want Superman to be neurodiverse/autistic but realistically krypton has tons of influence on the genes of its people. So the odds of a birth defect or obscurity are slim to none. Just sayin.

David comes across completely neurotypical in his other long-form interviews, like the CBS Morning one or the BBC with Ali, or the one with Will Reeve. I think here, David’s just getting on Rick’s wavelength, and Rick is known to be autistic.
