it’s insanely obvious that you don’t work in big tech if you think swes only make 200k. when you include the equity, bonuses, and other forms of compensation senior swes regularly pull 400+ and even upward to 500+. that is more than enough to create generational wealth. any talented big tech SWE who works for even just 15yrs at that rate should have a paid off house at 1M+ and 5M in other investments.

Most people aren’t getting interviews for y combinator, angelpad or 500 unless you’re ex fanng or top 25 school. Fanng still holds weight as well as other top tech companies. Getting into Meta, Google or Netflix is comparable to becoming a professional athlete.
