@libby.angle: my momma instilled in us from a young age that “you can either laugh or you can cry.” We got to our @airbnb after a long travel day & the power went out within 20 minutes in the 90 degree heat after we had just stocked the fridge. A neighbor stopped by and told us it probably wouldn’t be back on until 1am and the house got hot in a HURRY. The closest restaurant was 45 minutes away so Nate suggested grilled spaghetti - skeptical sounding, but we made it work. We drug the kitchen table into the driveway and made a core memory instead of crying about lack of AC/power. I’m grateful for a family that chooses to laugh.
