My grandma raised me from 2 to 8yrs old. I called her mama and my bio mom was mommy. I looked up to my grandma like a mom bc she was my mom for so long. I had extra love,is how I looked at it🥰

I commented on that video as well. I realized my son only started saying G-ma to my mom was b/c I stopped calling her mom in front of him. He was confused as how family is related. Like why my mom is G-ma & my bro his uncle. He thought those names only applied to our family. That it wasn’t a system.

I’m step mom and grandma is the one raising the two. They call both me and grandma mommy because we both do mommy things for them. If you’re doing the same for them they view it as the same. So they will call you what you show them you are.
