It’s so crazy that I’m old enough that you’re talking “history” and I lived it. Mr. Rogers is my hero. He would be so heartbroken to see what this administration is doing to this country. And I KNOW he would speak out.

I learned how to read from the Electric Company, how to count from Sesame Street oh and I learned about death from Sesame Street (anyone remember Mr Hooper) and Mr. Roger's taught me so much about life how to be kind that I mattered I saw kids that looked like me and that was the only place I saw that growing up in the 80s. We have to save this, what will my grandchildren do without it. My kids found Elmo and Authur and Caulio this is so sad 😔

I grew up on Mr Rogers, S Street, and Reading Rainbow. we read Curious George and Dr S in the library, dont judge me I was little. Mom got me a subscription to Highlight magazine when when we really couldn't afford it, and I was encouraged to read and explore books.

Not only are the Republicans defunding PBS, but also NPR. People who don’t own a TV are going to lose a vital resource for news and weather alerts. This along with defunding public education is the dumbing down that is part of their mission

PBS is everything the Republicans stand against. They did not want lower income free television for underprivileged people because they did not want low income people to be smart, because smart people are less likely to be able to be manipulated. Democrats promote education. Republicans burn books.
