I bought the wrong tofu 😭 it’s usually how I cut really soft tofu smh 🤦♀️) **please do not attempt to cut tofu this way without knowing how to do it properly!!** Pork Tonkatsu 2 servings Ingredients: - [ ] (2) Pork Loin - [ ] 1/4 of whole cabbage - [ ] Salt - [ ] Pepper - [ ] 1 tbsp of sesame seeds - [ ] 2 tbsp of bull-dog tonkatsu or chuno sauce - [ ] Flour - [ ] Garlic or onion powder - [ ] Panko - [ ] 1 egg (beaten) - [ ] Neutral oil - [ ] Rice 1. Prepare rice as directed by your rice cooker or on the stove top. 2. Slice cabbage thinly with a knife or with a slicer. 3. Toast sesame seeds lightly for a few seconds on low heat. (Optional) 4. Grind sesame seeds with a mortar and pestle or suribachi bowl. 5. Combine tonkatsu sauce and ground sesame and set aside. 6. Make small cuts at the edge of the pork loins to prevent pork from curling when frying. 7. Tenderize pork loins. 8. Season with salt and pepper as desired. 9. Beat egg and set aside. 10. Mix garlic / onion powder with flour. 11. Then dredge pork loins in flour mixture, egg, then panko. 12. Heat 1” oil to 350. 13. Deep fry for 5 minutes or until golden brown and internal temperature of meat reaches 145F. 14. Allow to rest for a few minutes on a cooling rack to drain excess oil. 15. Slice into bite sized pieces. 16. Serve with rice, cabbage salad, or any sides of your choosing! 17. Enjoy! #vtuber #asmr #cooking #japanesefood #recipes
