Next up we have my sweet late girl Banana! Banana was a rat I got from Second Chance Hero's Rat Adoption alongside her sister Blueberry when both girls were about 8 months old. Banana herself was a very confident rat, with her only issue being that she had a streak of cage agression and was prone to biting when inside the cage/other objects. Thankfully her case wasn't too severe and with time, patients, and lots of letting her have her own space, she gradually became less sensitive and more accepting of things in her space. . Outside the cage Banana was always very good with people, and from day 1 she was happily climbing all over me, getting treats, and learning tricks! Banana did have a some fear agression towards strange rats which unfortunately made intros a bit hard (although weirdly it bonded her and Donut super fast, with Donut being my hardest to intro rat ever so IDK why those 2 clicked so well!), but once she bonded with my other rats they got along really well, and she especially got along with my dwarfs which was really nice to see. . Overall Banana definitely had her quirks, but she was a very confident and friendly rat on the whole and working through her quirks wasn't too difficult. Unfortunately Banana was a rat that I lost at a younger than expected age due to a pituitary tumor (she was just 1.5 years old), but during her short time with me she was a great addition to the group and I was so lucky to have her!
