I have a 24yo son who chose to start T at age 21 who I support and love with all of my heart and soul (he gave me the honor of giving him many of his first shots) I also have a 19yo son who was circumcised at birth for no reason other than that's what the labor and delivery drs recommended at the time, and an 18 month old who is uncircumcised because when we know better we should do better. Parenting is hard, adulting is hard, but this one's a no brainer for me. In the US the majority of ppl who still circumcise their babies have no real idea why they're doing it. They're just doing it bc the society that they're a part of is telling them that's what's "normal", which is not a good reason at all.

one of my friends was allowed to start medically transitioning at 14 and got top surgery at 16, no exaggeration it saved his life and he's so much happier now

I like how these people act like GAC for minors happens often in a transgender circumstance like we don’t make up less than 1% of the population and the vast majority of us don’t have supportive parents so we had to wait until we were 18 anyway 😭 they are arguing with a community that just wants acceptance about hypotheticals that are the MOST rare circumstances I don’t get it

I will not have my baby circumcised, but I will absolutely support him if he chooses to do that later! Just like I’d support him if he grows up to be a her 💕 Once he can articulate wants for his body, they will be honored.
