I would recommend teaching your students to put the mouthpiece on the neck first, before putting the neck on the body. If the neck is already on the body and you put the mouthpiece on it could bend the neck!!

try putting the mouthpiece on the neck and then the Reed and only then attaching it to the body, this could help prevent damages to the neck

My sax teacher always said to have the alto saxophone in front and pretend like you have a cat behind your back. And you don’t want to hurt the cat. And have a straight back. And when you are a good sax player you can sit how ever you want. Then you have a good base and will do it in command every time
