This misses the point that group exercise is motivational. If you’ve signed up for a class you’re much less likely to to skip it. Plus peer pressure is more likely to make you work harder when you’re there. It’s the same with anything. Doing something on your own is more efficient, but without a community to inspire you requires levels of self discipline that most of us don’t have.
