When men started openly bashing us online and elevating their preferences. I told my friends, give it some time. Those women don't love our men the way we do. They're not going to protect them the way we do. They're going to quickly expose and trash them. I think black women should take this time to heal instead of running into the arms of other races of men. Create community and spaces for younger black women to heal - Start putting our resources together and create safer communities. We can set our boundaries and let the men who desire us, these are our expectations. We have to be more kind and loving to ourselves. We also have to militarize and take self defense classes to protect ourselves. There are black women and girls going missing throughout the country. We need technology to protect our girls.

I get why they think that way tbh. They think that because they're the preference, they'll be treated like the prize/trophy--placed on a pedestal and tended to, kept nice and shiny. But they seem to forget that most people don't have relationships with trophies; they have relationships with other people. After all, even if you're the trophy, who do you know that stops at one trophy? Most competitive people have several, and probably keep chasing more. Remember that.
